Types of Solar Warranty
Panel Product Warranty (25 Years)
Solar panel manufacturers typically provide a 25-year product warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship of the panel itself. This is separate from the performance warranty which guarantees output levels over time. If a panel develops a fault like hot spots, delamination, or junction box failure, the manufacturer replaces it.
Inverter Warranty (5-15 Years)
Inverter warranties vary by brand. Fronius offers 5 years extendable to 10, Enphase provides 15 years on microinverters, SMA offers 5 years extendable to 20, and Sungrow provides 10 years. Talk Energy can extend inverter warranties at the time of installation for additional coverage.

Describe the issue you are experiencing, such as reduced output, error codes, or visible damage. Our team will diagnose the problem, often remotely via your monitoring system.
Once diagnosed, we determine whether the issue falls under panel warranty, inverter warranty, or our workmanship warranty. Talk Energy handles all communication with manufacturers on your behalf. You do not need to contact the manufacturer directly. Under our 48-hour fix or replace guarantee, we resolve the issue within 48 hours of diagnosis.
