What size solar system does a Perth home need?
Most Perth homes suit somewhere between 6.6 kW and 13 kW of panels. The right size depends on how much power you use during the day, whether you plan to add a battery, and your connection type. Under Western Power’s rules for the Perth metro area, solar and battery inverters can total up to 30 kVA, with generation limits of 15 kVA on single-phase and 8 kVA per phase on three-phase. Solar rebates and adding a battery
Every eligible system gets the federal STC discount upfront. If you add a battery, the WA Residential Battery Scheme pays up to $1,300 for Synergy customers or $3,800 for Horizon Power customers, on top of the federal Cheaper Home Batteries program.
